AI Data Use
Identify is an optional cloud-based AI feature provided by Filter Camera and is disabled by default. The camera, beauty, photo-editing, and ID-photo features remain available without enabling Identify.
Filter Camera processes and transmits data only after you tap “Agree and Enable” and intentionally take or select one photo for identification.
Before transmission, Filter Camera:
- checks the photo for faces on your device;
- stops processing without uploading if a face is detected or the face check cannot be completed;
- re-encodes the photo as a JPEG copy with a maximum dimension of 1,280 pixels; and
- removes source metadata such as location, capture time, and device information.
Data that may be transmitted
- one compressed copy of the photo you intentionally take or select;
- a randomly generated installation identifier;
- necessary technical information concerning the app, platform, model, request time, and request status; and
- the AI identification request and the resulting identification response.
Filter Camera does not transmit continuous camera preview, your complete photo library, photos in which a face is detected, original photo metadata, Filter Camera account information, or advertising identifiers.
Complete AI processing chain and purpose
The data is first transmitted to DingYue AI Gateway and is then routed through OpenRouter to Google Gemini. It is used solely to identify the primary non-human object in the photo and return an identification result. It is not used to identify people, infer private human traits, deliver targeted advertising, or track users across apps.
Deletion and provider processing
When identification finishes or you cancel the request, Filter Camera requests deletion of the temporary image stored by DingYue AI Gateway. If deletion cannot be confirmed immediately, the App records the pending deletion and retries it after a later launch.
OpenRouter, Google, and other infrastructure providers may process or retain necessary request content and technical records under their respective terms for service delivery, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, or legal compliance. We do not promise Zero Data Retention or that provider-side records are never used under their applicable terms. See OpenRouter Data Collection, OpenRouter ZDR, Gemini API ZDR, and Gemini API Terms.
AI Photo Studio Data Use
When you actively select a cloud AI feature and have not yet agreed to the current notice version, the App displays a dialog titled “Allow Third-Party AI Services?” with “Agree” and “Cancel” buttons.
Only when you choose “Agree” and intentionally start a cloud AI task does AI Photo Studio send the data described below. If you cancel, you can continue using on-device photo editing, background removal, ID-photo, and local animation features.
Where the data is sent
The data you select is sent to DingYue AI to complete the generation task you requested. DingYue AI uses the model appropriate for the selected feature:
- Image generation: Black Forest Labs — FLUX.2 Klein 4B;
- Real-person video generation: Google — Veo 3.1 Lite; and
- Virtual-character video generation: ByteDance — Seedance 2.0 Fast.
Data that may be sent
- photos you select, which may contain faces or other personal information;
- optional edit masks used for selected image-editing tasks;
- generation prompts;
- the style, target age, pet name, and generation parameters you select;
- a stable, randomly generated installation identifier sent as
X-USER-ID; and - necessary task information such as the selected capability, provider/model identifier, scene, request state, and idempotency information.
The installation identifier is pseudonymous and is not derived from your name, photo, or device name, but it can associate multiple AI requests with the same App installation.
Purpose and provider practices
The data is used only to generate the image or video you requested and return the result. AI Photo Studio does not use submitted content for advertising or user profiling. Third-party processing, retention, and model-training practices are governed by each provider's applicable policies and service terms. No promise of Zero Data Retention or exclusion from model training is made in this policy.
See Black Forest Labs Privacy Policy, Google Privacy Policy, and ByteDance Privacy Policy.
Temporary transfer, result storage, and withdrawal
The compressed photo is transmitted with the current task. Generated results are provided through DingYue content storage. DingYue AI, its content-storage service, model providers, and infrastructure providers may process or retain submitted content, generated results, and necessary technical records under their applicable terms for service delivery, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, or legal compliance.
You can withdraw consent at any time under Settings > AI Data Use. After withdrawal, the App will not start any new cloud AI request unless you agree again. Withdrawing consent does not by itself delete data from completed tasks; contact FengYun20260606@163.com to ask questions or request deletion.
How long data is kept
| Data | Retention or deletion event |
|---|---|
| Local photos, edits, filters, and results | Remain on your device or in your photo library until you delete them, clear the App's data, or remove the App and its data. |
| Unsaved camera frames and temporary local data | Used for the active camera or editing session and released when the session ends or the App closes. |
| DingYue AI Gateway temporary image | Deletion is requested when identification finishes or is cancelled. If deletion is not confirmed, the App stores a pending deletion task and retries after a later launch. |
| Installation identifier and AI request records | Used to associate tasks with the same App installation, operate the service, isolate usage, secure requests, troubleshoot, and prevent abuse for Identify and AI Photo Studio. You may request deletion by contacting support, subject to necessary security and legal records. |
| OpenRouter, Google Gemini, and infrastructure records | May be processed or retained under each provider's applicable terms for service delivery, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, or legal compliance. No ZDR commitment is made in this policy. |
| AI Photo Studio input and generation records | The compressed photo is transmitted with the current task. DingYue AI and the selected model provider may process or retain inputs, prompts, parameters, outputs, and necessary technical records under their applicable terms. No fixed provider-side retention or training exclusion is promised. |
| AI Photo Studio generated results | Provided through DingYue content storage so the result can be returned or accessed. To request deletion of a generated result or related task data, contact support with information sufficient to locate the task. |
| Support and privacy emails | May be retained for up to 3 years to handle requests and document compliance. |
Your choices
Before Identify data is sent
The App displays an AI Data Use authorization. A selected image is sent only after you actively choose “Agree and Enable.”
Refusal and withdrawal
Refusing the authorization prevents the Identify request. You can disable the feature at any time under Settings > Privacy > Allow Cloud Identification. Once disabled, Filter Camera will not transmit any new identification data.
AI Photo Studio consent
The “Allow Third-Party AI Services?” dialog appears only when you actively use a cloud AI feature and have not agreed to the current notice version. Selecting “Cancel” prevents that cloud request. You can withdraw consent under Settings > AI Data Use; withdrawal prevents new cloud AI tasks.
The accepted disclosure version and acceptance time are stored locally on your device so the App can determine whether the current notice has already been accepted.
We will complete a verified access or deletion request within 30 days, unless applicable law requires a different period.
Security and cross-border processing
We use HTTPS, access restrictions, service isolation, and log rotation intended to protect information. No system is completely secure.
Cloud identification may be processed outside your country through DingYue AI Gateway, OpenRouter, Google Gemini, and their infrastructure providers. We limit transfers to what is needed for the requested identification, service security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
AI Photo Studio image or video generation may also be processed outside your country through DingYue AI, DingYue content storage, Black Forest Labs, Google, ByteDance, and their infrastructure providers.
Children, sharing, and legal disclosure
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect a child's personal information without authorization required by law.
If you tap Share, Save, or Export, the destination App or service you select receives the content under its own privacy practices.
We may preserve or disclose information when required by law, a valid legal request, security protection, fraud prevention, or the establishment or defense of legal claims.
Contact and policy changes
We may update this policy when App features, AI providers, retention practices, law, or user controls change. If a change materially expands AI data sharing, we will provide notice and request new consent when required.
